Gal Leg Spurs

Gal Leg SpursThese kinds of spurs almost seem to be a novelty item - but I can assure you that they are totally and 100 percent real and highly valuable and collectible.

A Gal Leg Spur refers to the Gal - being a slang for Lady or Woman and her legs being part of the spurs. The legs are in the position of the neck or shank and have the rowel fastened to their feet end.

Gal Leg spurs were made by lots of different spur makers over the years. Even highly collectible and valuable vintage spurs makers such as Crockett or McChesney designed these kinds of spurs. They were also made from various different types of metals too, from steel to bronze and from silver to aluminium.

I suppose that a lonely cowboy may have been able to glance down at them whilst out on the range and think of his cowgirl back home.
